Privacy policy
This policy explains what data TotBuddy stores, who can see it, and how you control it. TotBuddy is for adults who care for children. The app collects no data from children directly and has no features for a child to use.
Data that TotBuddy stores
- Account identifiers from Apple or Google, so you can sign in.
- Your child's name, birth date, and sex. You can also add gestational age at birth.
- Measurements: weight, length or height, and head circumference.
- Vaccination records.
- Illness records: the start and end dates, a label, a note, and the highest temperature you entered.
- Your household's region, which picks the vaccination schedule.
- Push notification tokens for your devices, so the app can sync and remind you of due doses.
- Purchase records from the App Store or Google Play, so the app can turn on the paid plan.
- Security logs of sign-ins and changes to records. The logs store a truncated hash of your network address, not the address. TotBuddy deletes log entries after 30 days.
Where TotBuddy stores data
TotBuddy stores data on Cloudflare in encrypted form. TotBuddy keeps backups for up to 30 days.
Who can see your data
TotBuddy shares your data only with the people you invite to your household. Everyone you invite can read the household's records and add to them. The household owner can remove anyone from the household, and a person can leave a household.
TotBuddy never sells your data and never uses it for advertising.
Sign in with Apple and Google
You sign in with your Apple or Google account. TotBuddy receives an account identifier from the provider. TotBuddy keeps an Apple token only to revoke your Apple sign-in when you delete your account.
Ads, trackers, and crash reports
TotBuddy shows no ads on any plan. TotBuddy includes no third-party trackers. The only analytics are crash reports, which help fix errors in the app.
This website
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. The percentile calculator runs in your browser and sends nothing you enter to TotBuddy.
Export your data
To export your household's data, open Settings in the app and choose the export option. The app creates a JSON file. Export is available on every plan.
Delete your data
To delete your account, open Settings in the app and choose the delete account option. Deleting your account revokes your Apple sign-in if you used it, and removes your login and every household where you are the only member. A household owner can also delete the household with one confirmation.
Deleted data leaves the backups when the backups expire. This takes up to 30 days.

TotBuddy is a record-keeping tool and does not provide medical advice. Follow your child's doctor's plan.
Terms of use
If you use TotBuddy, you agree to these terms.
Not medical advice
TotBuddy is a record-keeping tool and does not provide medical advice. The app repeats published growth standards and vaccination schedules. It does not say whether a child is healthy, and it does not recommend a medicine, a dose, or a visit to a doctor. Follow your child's doctor's plan. TotBuddy is not a medical device.
Your account
You must be an adult to use TotBuddy. You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for the activity on your account.
Households
A household holds the records for your children. The owner can invite people with a link. Everyone in the household can read and add records. The owner can remove a person and can delete the household. A person can leave a household. Share an invite link only with people you trust, because an invite link lets the person who opens it join the household for 72 hours after you create it.
Plans and payments
TotBuddy has a free plan and a paid plan. The free plan covers one child and one person. The paid plan covers unlimited children and people in the household. You buy the paid plan as an annual subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase, through the App Store or Google Play. The store sets the prices, charges you, and handles refunds, subject to the store's terms. You manage and cancel a subscription in the store.
Lifetime means for as long as TotBuddy runs. Export is available on every plan.
If a paid plan ends, your household keeps all of its records and people. You cannot add a new child or invite a new person until you buy the plan again.
Your data
Your records belong to you. You can export them and delete your account at any time. Theprivacy policy explains how TotBuddy handles your data.
